One Week

We have been at this health/fitness stuff for a week now. Last week was pretty easy because the kids spent the week with my ex, but this week we have them and I know making healthier choices will be a little more difficult. We talked to the kids about eating healthier and about choosing good snacks, tonight they made me very proud by asking for an apple for their bedtime snack.

Colton and I had our first workout with our trainer Mike on Saturday, and I figured we would be tired afterwards.....boy was I wrong! He kicked out asses up one side of the gym and then down the other. By the end of our workout I had to bolt off of the treadmill to make it to the bathroom in time to throw up, and Colton ended up having to go lay down in the managers office because he was going to pass out! One time during my training session I told Mike that I was going to throw up, and all he did was move the trash can closer to where I was working out and asked me to do 25 more crunches. He is going to be an amazing trainer and I am so grateful for his hard work. He is what I need to really get my butt into gear. He is a take no crap kind of guy, and I am actually looking forward to meeting with him again this Friday!

Walking hurts, I can't lie about that. I was in a little pain last night, but this morning and most of the day I have been hobbling around like a little old lady.

Week two here I come!!

Mike

Mike is the trainer I just signed up with at the gym last night. I knew I wanted to work with a trainer, but we had a very small and limited budget. So we went into the gym and we were able to find a great trainer that was within out budget. We met him last night and his name is Mike. I am sure in the future there might be hateful blogs about the way he will be torturing me, but for not I really like him. I told him about the biggest loser challenge that Colton and I are a part of, and he told me that he would do his best to help me win it. Somewhere in all of our chatting and joking around with him last night, he offered to also train Colton without charging us any extra, and we are both super happy about that. We also get a free nutritionist along with our trainer, who will be putting together meal plans for us, and I think if we stick to this we just might have a chance to win. I informed Mike about what a whiner I was, and that I needed someone who won't give in to me when I say I don't want to do another set, and he told me he plans on being both my best friend and worst enemy at the same time. While we were there signing up, we saw a guy that no works there that two years ago he weighed in at 340lbs, and he is now down to 220. It was inspirational to chat with him for a minute, and I am really looking forward to this journey. It makes me so happy that both Colton and I are doing this weight loss challenge together, because who better to make this journey with than my best friend.

I Know I Am Not Justin Timberlake But I am Going To Bring Sexy Back!

I am taking this new year to be a new and healthy me! I am pretty excited about it, but I am sure it will be a roller coaster ride for sure if my first three days have any indication. This is how it went:

Day 1: OMG! This is sooooooo exciting! Totally gonna kill this weight loss challenge! Small problem is I hate water....

Day 2: So f***ing hungry that I might just chew off my own leg. Oh and did I mention I hate drinking water?

Day 3: Stuck to my diet, worked out at the gym with my husband, signed up to see the nutritionist at the gym and scheduled a free personal training session. Went tanning, came home and felt really proud of myself. Now if I could get my legs to stop feeling like jello I would be happy!

Day four is yet to come.   I am going to drop Colton off at work and go straight to the gym for at least 30 minutes. I will try to report in at least every few days, but hopefully I will be here daily because I think it will help hold me accountable.
